i made a game about getting the day off from work and imagining all the things you can do with your free time!
how to play
a day off from work takes about 2-3 minutes to complete, and is free on desktop and mobile. on desktop, use WASD or the arrow keys to move and interact with objects. on mobile, swipe to move and interact.

this is my first game and was made with bitsy! the song is "itty bitty 8 bit" and was made by kevin macleod (i've used this hack to add music).

this project came about when i've had (you've guessed it) a day off from work. on this free day i've sketched out my idea, learned bitsy, and completed development of the game!

This game is fantastic. I wish I knew the dev! They seem like they are so so fun! This game is cute and cozy. The player interaction is found in the unique writing. The text works as world building and is just warm, fuzzy, and enjoyable. There were several moments where I was both surprised and delighted. :)
My main criticism is that the birds were colored pink like all other interactables, yet they were not interactable. Otherwise the interactables were very clear and lovely to run into.
Loved the dialog. Loved the concept. Pretty polished all considered.
Would recommend. 9.8/10
